冥王星：我被除名了！！

　

Pluto was first discovered by US astronomer Clyde Tombaugh in 1930 and for many years has been considered to be the smallest and furthest planet from the sun in our solar system. However, after some intense discussions, the International Astronomical Union held a vote demoting Pluto, which will henceforward be one of three dwarf planets.

　

"I've been taken off the list," says the small sign attached to this model of Pluto. The International Astronomical Union's decision had an immediate effect at the Taipei Astronomical Museum.

　

In the middle of the museum is a display showing the orbits of the planets, said Professor Chen An-li of the museum. There are three or four exhibits that will need to be changed there.

　

And this short movie display about Pluto might need to be taken out completely.

　

Some were concerned about the possible effect on astrology as Pluto was the guardian planet for Scorpios. After Pluto's demotion, Scorpios will have to share a guardian planet with another sign. Astrologers say it will have a larger effect on people born next year and in the future than those already living.

　

冥王星是在一九三零年、由美國科學家發現，多年來都被視為太陽系家族中最小、離太陽最遠的行星。不過天文學家聯合會經過激烈討論，二十四日卻投票認定，冥王星未達行星標準、應該被降級。

　

“我被除名了”，寫著這小小的冥王星模型旁的牌子。國際天文聯盟決定把冥王星從9大行星的行列刪除，來到台北市立天文館，就可以看到這決定的影響。

　

台北天文館陳岸立博士：天文館中間有看板，就是關於行星軌道的圖解，大概有三、四項大概要做調整。

　

還有這個冥王星的模型解說也會被撤掉。

　

不少人關心的占星，根據星座專家微微安表示，冥王星原本是天蠍座的守護星，被剔除之後必須要跟另外一個星座公用守護星，所以對明年以後出生的天蠍座可能比較有影響，但世界局勢影響並不大。
